- Was there anything you didn't like?Dear La Relais MadelaneTeam, I would like to express my disappointment regarding our recent stay at your hotel. Before our arrival, we had requested a surprise – a bottle of champagne – to celebrate a special birthday. Unfortunately, the surprise was completely spoiled when the receptionist asked the birthday guest to pay for the champagne and even questioned whether I had ordered it. This not only ruined the intended surprise but also caused unnecessary confusion and discomfort. And there no champagne glasses in the room. Additionally, we were charged €96.90 instead of the originally communicated €60, with the explanation that additional fees and taxes were included. However, we were not informed of these extra charges in advance, which felt misleading and unfair. The most upsetting part is that a carefully planned birthday surprise was mishandled, turning what should have been a joyful moment into an awkward one. We hope you will take this feedback seriously to improve future guests’ experiences.
