- What did you like most? What a delightful NON-chain hotel. Roomy and very comfortable room with a wonderful large armchair with tilt and stool so you could really relax. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Eric and Chesca (and a young woman who was a trainee) (All the staff were great - these named three were outstanding. The pillows were "just right" (a challenge these days) and the access and design were all top-notch. The morning breakfast was extremely appreciated, and the proximity to universities, TAFE and tourist spots such as the Goods Line at the end of Mary Anne Street (right near the amazing Gehry designed Dr Chau Chak Wing building of the UTS Business School, - and the ABC). Yep - excellent hotel. Many thanks Vulcan Hotel
- Was there anything you didn't like?I understand the perils of running a small bar where there is a floating population, but a little more quality in available wines would have been very appreciated. I appreciate that the hotel has already begun to make sure that clear glass doors have markings / transfers at a height (or a low?) visible to a short person! In general I prefer openable windows, and while I appreciated the silencing of Sydney traffic with the double glazing, I will aim to stay in one of the balcony rooms next time. (and there will be a next time!!)
